About the retreat
Apart from the well know area of Wuzhen, Zhejaing. There is still vivid life inside each corner of the street, villages, we will make it a special way to let ourselves touch in with the local. By a walk, a communication to experience the local's life spirit.
Also the peaceful nature just gives it's natural way to show how wonderful life it.
This retreat will also include a full day to enjoy learning Chinese painting (sometimes with both oil painting with watertown painting structure) with the local artists, the best way to experience Chinese culture is hands on, listening to their stories...
Apart from the well know area of Wuzhen, Zhejaing. There is still vivid life inside each corner of the street, villages, we will make it a special way to let ourselves touch in with the local. By a walk, a communication to experience the local's life spirit.
Also the peaceful nature just gives it's natural way to show how wonderful life it.

Itinerary
Participants can join with no Chinese painting experience Day 1 09:00 Gathering from Shanghai 11:00 Arrive at Wuzhen Zhejiang, check in in local hotel (not inside the scenic park) 11:30 Tea sharing and a brief of the Wuzhen life 12:00 Local lunch 13:00 Start our hike into Wuzhen South part old street which not developed by the tourism yet, walk along the river to feel the downtown life here. Continue to cross the street, walk into the nature fields and villages, turn into countryside life. Around 2 - 2.5 hours walk all flat. 16:00 Break in nature 17:00 Return to the hotel 18:00 Dinner in local, local artist visit 19:00 Enjoy the night 22:00 Good sleep Day 2 08:00 Breakfast together 09:00 Chinese ink painting / oil painting class with local artists Briefing of the traditional painting methods Hands on practice, one by one guiding with our teacher Sharing with the local artists' life spirit 11:30 Tea break in nature 12:00 Local lunch 13:00 Continue our practice and enjoy the harmony 14:30 Walk into nature 15:30 Summery and sharing 16:00 Return Shanghai 18:00 Arrive Shanghai About teacher Zhu Zhaohua, Art name : Di Qing, she was born in Zhejiang Tongxiang, since she was young, was passion about Chinese art, Buddhism and Taoism culture. Followed master painter Wu Ou Ting. She is good at Chinese ink painting of the landscape, and put the meditation idea into the painting. In 2012, she went to of Renmin university of China to study finished the further study of painting institute and became a student of master Peng Guo Chang. Now she is a special painter of Chinese art and calligraphy and painting research institute, director of Chinese painting art committee, deputy director of chang 'an China landscape painting institute, and painter of peng guochang landscape studio of renmin university of China. Pan Yaping Love countryside life, An experienced oil painting teacher with good sense of painting Chinese water town landscape and nature. Each year she is only complete one big painting, believe to make it more slowly but really showing the spirit inside the painting. Transportation A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Shanghai downtown. Gathering Time: follow the itinerary Place: (unless notified differently) Zhongshan Park Subway Station, Line 3-4, Exit 3 Beside the 7-Eleven shop Meals The meals include countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way. The hereunder Booking & Cancel Policy is designed to make the activities more stable, reliable and much easier for the planning of all members.

Upon the collection of the payment, the bookings of one activity will be final confirmed.
When a member wants to cancel a booked activity, the Circle Cancel Policy will be followed as such:
- the cancellation is to happen two weeks before the activity, 100% of the payment will be returned
- the cancellation is to happen one week before the activity, 80% of the payment will be returned.
- the cancellation is to happen 1 day before the activity, 50% of the payment will be returned
- the cancellation is to happen on the same day of the activity, 0% of the payment will be returned.
* NB: the booker who cancels his/her booking may find a replacer for the booking, in which case all payment will be 100% returned.
Again,
the policy is designed to make minimum impact on all group members, and make each activity stable and reliable to all bookers.
