About the retreat
Mt.Daoming locates in the Zhejiang Lin'an region, at the joint area with Anhui Province. Ranged from the yellow mountain, it shares the same character of its majestic shapes and vastness. Rocky Mountains, streams traversing throughout the valley and a big waterfall rushes down the cliff around 100 meters high. Story goes that in Ming dynasty the first emperor Zhu Yuanzhang's army set out from here to take the world, so it was named:Daming ( the grand light). Deep into the mountain, we will explore the small forest path 1000m high and hike down in a traversing loop. And next day, continue the hike in nearby mountain area, with a discover of the local life in the mountain village. Itinerary Day 1 19:30 Shanghai gathering 23:30 Arrive at the mountain foot, quiet sleep Day 2 07:00 Good morning! Stretch 08:00 Everybody gets up, breakfast together 09:00 Start heading to hike into Daming mountain, small forest path along the way, will climb some big stones, pass by a 100m high waterfall, finally reach a top over 1000m high 13:00 Lunch in nature picnic 13:30 Continue the hike down after a bit rest 16:00 Return to guest house 18:00 Dinner 20:00 Free time Day 3 07:00 Good morning! Stretch 08:00 Everybody gets up, breakfast together 09:00 Another hike to enjoy the great mountain 13:00 Lunch 14:30 Return 18:30 Back Shanghai Transportation: A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Shanghai downtown. Gathering: Time: 19:30 Place: (unless notified differently) Zhongshan Park Subway Station, Line 3-4, Exit 3 Beside the 7-Eleven shop Meals: The meals include countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way. Simple and Healthy. Should you have especial requirements, please let us know beforehand. Accommodation: We stay in local guesthouse that we choose, according to their good service commitment. Arrangements are usually twin bedrooms and occasionally in a shared dormitory. Friendly and Family atmosphere. Clean and simple. Equipment: (Needs to be prepared by each participant) - Hiking shoes and aqua shoes (necessary, paths are very slippery when wet) - Hiking Jacket & Pants depends on season - Rain coat (in case) - Quick dry sports gear - Gloves (some part need to climb with rope) - Drinking bottle (no soft plastic, as often refill is with boiled water and it melts) - Backpack to carry your things during the hike (~25L) - Hiking Poles (optional, helpful with wet path and to avoid knee problems) - Personal toiletries and towel - Weather protection, according to the season Booking Procedures: Click here for booking Activity Confirmation: Upon reaching the minimum amount of participants, you'll receive an email with the last details about the trip. 关于此行:
