About The Retreat:
For a celebration of the Chinese New Year
with a local family in its traditional way,
slow down our life and reunioned in the special time of year with a family local, as we are all one family.
and be ONE with self at the turning point of season ..
Towards the mid-part of Zhejiang Xinchang mountain and its hill region,
we follow the ancient branch of the Qiantang river and the Caoejiang river and explore its basin.
With its unique shapes of mounts, waterfalls and brooks, this location is known as the Eyes of East China...

Itinerary: Day 1 19:30 Departure from Shanghai 23:30 Arrive at the village, good sleep Day 2 - "The Chinese new year eve" Sunrise in the quietness 08:30 Wake up & enjoy breakfast together 09:30 Set up for our hiking into the mountain towards ancient ruins of the valley 12:30 Local lunch 14:00 Village explore and local families visit This afternoon, most of the loal's will prepare the big meal for dinner, let's discover more in the village, to be like a local! - Fileds works to prepare dinner - Chuanghua (paper cutting workshop) - Local cooking workshop - Xinchang taro dumplings 18:00 Family Dinner Together - “Nian Ye Fan” 19:30 Bonfire till the next "Mouse Year" Fireworks! 00:00 Celebrate & Good sleep Day 3 - Chu Yi 08:00 Breakfast together - Happy Mouse year 09:00 Together to a local temple to blessing 12:00 Back for lunch See of the local family 13:00 Go to hotspring 14:30 Enjoy Hot Spring, begins the year with warmth 16:30 Drive back to Shanghai 20:30 Arrival in Shanghai, life is always amazing About the Hot Spring: Shaoxing Zhong Xiang Hotspring From the first historical publication of Shenzhou region, the hotspring from the ancient volcano was recorded. The ancient volcano now sleeps at the bottom of the lake and provides the hot spring ever after. The hotspring water is pure and full of minerals with medical benefits. Transportation: A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Shanghai downtown. Gathering: Time: Refer to our Organization Email Place: (unless notified differently) Zhongshan Park Subway Station, Line 3-4, Exit 3 Beside the 7-Eleven shop Meals: The meals include countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way. Accommodation: We will stay in a local guesthouse that we choose according to their good service commitment. Friendly and family atmosphere. Clean and simple. Equipment: (Need to be prepared by each participant) - Hiking shoes (necessary, paths are very slippery when wet) - Hiking Jacket & Pants - Backpack to carry your things during the hike (~20L) - Quick dry sports wear - Swimming suit (for hotspring) - Rain coat - Weather protection, according to the season - Drinking bottle (no plastic bottles, because refill is often with boiled water) - Personal toiletries and towel - Small snacks - Open mind:) Booking Procedures: Click here to book Activity Confirmation: Upon reaching the minimum amount of participants, you'll receive an email with the last details about the trip.
