And that release their poetry even when it breeds no applause.
The everyday heroes
willing to battle self-doubt, personal demons
and so-called pundits who lecture them on the unreasonability of their desires
and the hopelessness of the very dreams that most whisper to their heart.
Those broken, bold and beautiful people among us
that get knocked down, bruised and bloodied, yet continue as an army of one.
You see Z.t.H...
...the very symptom of a heroic vision is to terrify the flock
and to threaten card-carrying members of the cult of mediocrity.
...If you’re not being laughed at a lot,
you’re probably not creating very much.
...If you’re not attracting criticism, condemnation and chattering cynicism,
likely you’re not producing outright magic.
For the very nature of great art is to scare the timid souls
who spend the best hours of their finest days watching television in a subdivision.
Kindly remember...
...every visionary was laughed at before they were revered.
...And every genius was initially called a kook.
...And every world-changer was previously labelled a freak.
Until the noisy masses of ordinary caught up with the wisdom
and value of their dazzling fantasy.
And then embraced a new reality.
Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw once wrote:
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world.
The unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
When the misunderstanders try to stop us and block us and hate us and berate us,
please take the stones they throw at you and remake them into monuments of mastery...
...that majestically uplift all of humanity.
