About the Retreat:
A weekend into the wildest section of the Great Wall, feel the pulse of what was happening as the final protection of that time of the heart of mainland China. Experience and imagine the life in the fierce environment while at the same time stunning nature, a great mixture of the master piece of both nature and mankind...
The Jiankou is a section of the Great Wall of China. It is located between the Mutianyu Great Wall- ten kilometers to the east and the Moshikou sections of the Great Wall of China. As one of the most famous and dangerous sections that were constructed in Ming Dynasty, Jiankou retains its original appearance since its construction, and it is an ideal place for adventurous and experienced hikers and photographers, what people can see appears on picture album and post card of the Great Wall frequently. It was constructed based on “The Ox Horn Edge Wall" mountain, it is translated as 'Arrow Nock' in English, because of the shape of the mountain is like an arrow, with the collapsed ridge opening as its arrow nock.
"Beijing owns the most beautiful part of the Great Wall, but you will not feel that unless you are standing on the top the Jiankou.’"Qi Jiguang said so, as a national hero on Chinese history, he also took charge on constructing Jiankou section when he was nominated as the Jinzhou Governor.

Itinerary
Day 1 “Audacious Great Wall... ” 09:00 Gathering in Beijing Suggest over night train :all arrive before 9:00 am the next day is ok 12:00 Arrival at the mountain foot 12:30 Local lunch 13:30 Prepare our hiking backpack and entry for the wild great wall hike, first 30min will be cross woods hiking up, then hike on the great wall, some part need rope support. After around 2 hours reach our camping site. Set up tents then could continue to explore the great wall with light hike 17:30 Camp site cooking 19:00 Bone fire (see weather) 22:30 Enjoy the night During the hiking, need to carry all your stuff include tents, sleeping bag, mattress. Please prepare 60L hiking backpack, and enough drinking water for yourself Day 2 “Wild on….” 06:30 Get up, exercise and breathing, pit up tents 07:30 Breakfast 08:00 Continue hike and hiking down the great wall 11:00 Back to village and local meal 12:00 Return Beijing 15:00 Arrival Beijing and farewell you can continue to explore Beijing or take train home Transportation: A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Beijing downtown. Transportation not include from your place to Beijing and back Gathering: Place: Will inform everyone in organization email Meals: On the hike, dinner will be in wild cooking with food fit for camping, all lunch will be in local, countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked on the traditional way. Simple and Healthy. Should you have special requirements, please let us know beforehand. Accommodation: We will do camping in wild great wall, all equipment include. During the hike you need to carry your own tent (two people a tent could do sharing), sleeping bag and your own stuff. Equipment: (Need to be prepared by each participant) - Weather protection according to the season - Hiking boots a must for the wild great wall - Hiking jacket and pants - Backpack 60L - Quick dry hiking T-shirts - Warm layers suitable for hiking, compressible, light, quick dry, and warm like 400g freece or hiking down jackets - Quick dry clothes, sunscreen, hat, sunglass (summer time) - Hiking poles (one pair) - Head Lamp - Drinking bottle (no soft bottles, because refill is with hot water) - Towel & personal toiletries - Personal eating set - Some snacks as you wish Booking Procedures: Click here the link Activity Confirmation: Upon reaching the minimum of participants, you'll receive the confirmation from us after the confirmation of the payment we will inform you on the tickets. 深入野长城，感受当年雄关据守保卫中原的豪情与苍凉。 在绝美的山间领略自然的鬼斧刀工及人类的杰作... 箭扣长城位于慕田峪长城以西10公里处，是明代万里长城最著名的险段之一，经常出现在画册、明信片上的长城大部分都是在这里拍摄的，这里不分春夏秋冬，无数的美景吸引着无数的摄影人在这里流连忘返。它建在海拔1000多米山顶的“牛犄角边”；建在刀削一般山峰上的“鹰飞倒仰”和“箭扣”长城。这里长城多修于险峰断崖之上，雄奇峻峭，气势恢弘，走势极富变化和韵律。箭扣长城因整段长城蜿蜒呈W状，形如满弓扣箭而得名。 弯弓箭扣穷逐鹿，勒马长城啸西风！ “华夏长城最美在北京，北京长城最美在箭扣。”这是大家耳熟能详的英雄说的，他的名字叫戚继光。箭扣长城也是他担任蓟州总督时主持修建的。 而深秋的长城更是壮美无比，堪称最佳季节。箭扣长城与八达岭或者慕田峪长城截然是两个概念，这里几百年来丝毫没有人工修理的痕迹，是原汁原味的长城，现在已经残破不堪。 行程安排: 一日 09：00 在北京集合，通常在火车站或者附近避开堵车的高铁站 建议过夜火车：均在早9点前抵达即可 12：00 抵达长城山脚 12：30 午餐 13：30 整装打包，开始探寻感受野长城的魅力和文化底蕴，沿着山脊徒步。前30分钟穿越树林向上抵达长城，接着沿着长城徒步，部分路段绳索辅助。约2小时候到达扎营点，之后可继续轻装探索长城 17：30 一起制作我们的晚餐 19：00 看天气情况烤火 22：30 宁静，古老的夜晚 徒步需要重装背负自己的帐篷，睡袋，防潮垫及个人物品，请准备60升徒步包，及足够的个人饮用水 二日 （继续野长城的旅程） 06：30 早起，晨练，拔营 07：30 享用早餐 08：00 继续我们徒步，下山 11：00 到村庄并享用午餐 12：30 返回北京市区 15：00 到达北京市区，惜别 可继续游览北京，或各自交通回程 关于交通: 我们将安排专车自集合点到当地往返，不包括各自抵达北京的大交通 关于集合: 出发前，组织邮件将发给每一位参加者，通知集合时间地点，携带物品，及注意事项 集合时间：以通知邮件为准 关于用餐: 徒步期间晚餐在户外制作，适宜当地环境。午餐将在当地特色的农家进行，土法烹制 如果您有特殊的需要请提前告知我们 关于住宿: 露营，提供装备（每2人一个帐篷，睡袋，防潮垫） 需要自己背负，帐篷可以与伙伴分享背负 携带的物品: （需要每一位参加者自己准备） - 按照季节的天气保护 - 登山鞋高帮 - 冲锋衣裤（防风，防水） - 登山包60升 - 快干T恤 - 适合登山的保暖层，可压缩，轻便，快干质地，保暖 如400g 的摇粒绒或登山羽绒服 - 快干衣，防风外套，帽子，墨镜，防晒霜（夏季） - 登山杖 （一对） - 头灯 - 登山水壶 - 个人洗漱用品等 - 个人餐具 - 一些自己需要的小零食 - 开放的精神和思想，利于人生每一步：） 关于报名: 点击 这里 报名 只需根据报名页面的要求，发确认Email至我们邮箱。 所有跟进工作将由我们开展 费用: 1299 元／人 活动费用可在支付现金，或通过微信／支付宝支付 至少 8 人 至多 19 人 团队 或者 10 人以上团队提前要求日期 费用包含: - 北京市区到长城入口的来回接送包车 - 活动及所有所需公共用品 （保护绳，对讲机等） - 行程内的正餐及早餐 - 一晚露营及装备（帐篷，睡袋，防潮垫） - 通讯设备 - 意外保险 不包含: - 酒水（啤酒饮料等大家AA） - 其他个人消费 - 往返北京的大交通 活动后： 个人的照片采集，望大家无私分享并由YEJO负责收集后 将最终版发给大家，保留期间美妙瞬间。 享受我们的活力和那自然恬静，与人分享的时光... 到时见！ |
