About the retreat
Explore Ningbo Cixi area, hike into a mountain called Kaolao, 400m high. The way to the top we will following the spring, cross bamboo forest. Feeling the serenity of nature. Surrounded by green tea fields, enjoy the warmth from hotspring in Yuyao. Get deep relaxed from energy of Nature. Itinerary Day 1 09:00 Gathering from Shanghai 12:00 Arrive at the local area 12:10 Vegetarian lunch, healthy and good for hike 13:30 Start our hike into Ningbo Cixi area, follow the spring in mountain, feel the fresh air, seneity in bamboo forest 17:00 Finish our hike and rest, drive to Yuyao hotspring 18:30 Check in and dinner together 19:30 Relax time in Yuyao hotspring 22:00 Good sleep Day 2 08:00 Good morning! Stretch 09:00 Everybody gets up, breakfast together 10:00 Nature walk around mountain area, explore local village 12:00 Local lunch 14:30 Return 17:30 Back Shanghai About the Hot Spring The Yangming hot spring water comes from deeper than 2500 meters underground, and the surface spring temperature is 42 degrees. Hotspring quality is neutral and mild, PH value around 8.3 It located around by tea fields, all greens. Feel the peace, and listening to the all natural sounds from nature, feel the refreshment. Transportation: A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Shanghai downtown. Gathering: Time: 09:00 Place: (unless notified differently) Zhongshan Park Subway Station, Line 3-4, Exit 3 Beside the 7-Eleven shop Meals: The meals include countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way. Simple and Healthy. Should you have especial requirements, please let us know beforehand. Accommodation: We stay in Yuyao Hotspring Hotel. Two people a room with single/twin bed, if you need single room, there will be a extra fee, please contact us to inquire. Equipment: (Needs to be prepared by each participant) - Hiking shoes and aqua shoes (necessary, paths are very slippery when wet) - Hiking Jacket & Pants depends on season - Rain coat (in case) - Quick dry sports gear - Swimming suit (for hot spring) - Drinking bottle (no soft plastic, as often refill is with boiled water and it melts) - Backpack to carry your things during the hike (~25L) - Hiking Poles (optional, helpful with wet path and to avoid knee problems) - Personal toiletries and towel - Weather protection, according to the season Booking Procedures: Click here for booking Activity Confirmation: Upon reaching the minimum amount of participants, you'll receive an email with the last details about the trip.
