About the retreat
The aim of this retreat is to connect deeply with Nature through practices evolving around the Wood element,
using trees as models and opening our sensations to them.
It requires first to attain stillness, so we’ll practice the traditional Qigong of Boddhidharma,
who introduced zen Buddhism in China, and Taoist exercises to calm down the heart and pacify the mind.

Walking meditation. 15:00 Summary and sharing time 15:30 Leaving for Shanghai About our coach Biography Yohan Radomski Yohan has been practicing Japanese and Chinese martial arts since childhood, and began to teach traditional Taoist qi gong with a Unesco program in Poland in 2006. He is a teacher of the Classical Arts of Tao, a group of traditional schools set in China,France and Italy. The goal of these practitioners is to open the spirit through corporal, respiratory and energetic balance. “Some of my qi gong students are Chinese. At first glance, it could seem a bit strange, but in fact these Asian practices are now universal ones. Everybody can understand symbols such as a tree, the wind, the ocean, or use animals as models. They a reall things used by Taoists to attain harmony with the Universe”. Yohan is also a journalist and a writer specialized in graphic novels. He has written many stories for children magazines and two comic books for adults. He is working with publishers in France to publish Chinese renowned artists. He is currently writing a comic book about Taoist culture set in the Tang Dynasty. Practical Information Transportation: A private mini-bus will be arranged from/back to Shanghai downtown. Gathering: Time: 7:30PM (19:30) Place: (unless notified differently) Zhongshan Park Subway Station, Line 3-4, Exit 3 Beside the 7-Eleven shop Meals: The meals are temple food. All vegetarian, with countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable in a traditional way. Simple and Healthy. Should you have especial requirements, please let us know beforehand. Temple lifestyle: - We stay in the temple's facilities - Separate dormitories for male and female - Hard beds with blanket provided - Usually no A/C, not always hot water shower - Vegetarian meals - No smoking, no alcoholic drinking during the retreat - Silent Retreat (except question/answer time, always possible to walk outside the temple if required) - No mobile phones during the lessons and the meal time Equipment: (Need to be prepared by each participant) - Weather protection according to the season - Comfortable clothes - Sport Shoes - Rain Coat (in case) - Drinking bottle (no soft plastic bottle because refill is often with boiled water) - Towel & personal toiletries - Small blanket (optional for meditation) - In winter time: warm clothes, a blanket, a sleeping bag if you are specially afraid of cold. If we are unable to reach the minimum amount of participants, we will postpone or cancel the activity. Price : 799 RMB Payment is done on- site, directly collected by our activity leaders.
