Itinerary
Day 1 : Chamonix Les Houches to Miage You'll leave Les Houches village with Voza pass as aim. After you'll discover the famous landscape of Bionnassay glacier and its pastures. Day 2 : Miage hut to Le Bonhomme mountain refuge Today, you'll discover the olde roman bridge of Notre Dame de la Gorge and upper a legend place marked with stones. After a last and panoramic ascent, the Bonhomme refuge is welcoming you. Day 3 : Le Bonhomme to Elisabetha hut This morning, you'll get down to Chapieux pasture before to cross the Italian border at La Seigne pass. At the end of the day, you'll discover the Elisabetta hut nestled under an overwhelming glacier. Day 4 : Elisabetha to Berthone hut You're now in val Veny and Courmayeur is not so far. Blue Combal Lake and its background over the Seigne pass will do a fabulous photo. Now it's time to taste the italian ice creams ! Day 5 : Berthone hut - Elena rifugio Panoramic walk on a balcony path. Grandes Jorasses Glacier is really in front of you : humans beings feel small ... Day 6 : Elena to La Fouly village Have a look at Pré de Bar Glacier before to enter Switzerland. You'll discover a charming valley with wooden chalets, flowered gardens and the very prensent swiss flag. Day 7 : La Fouly to Champex lake A complete day in Switzerland, from La Fouly to Champex lake. You can go to swim, but be careful, the water is cold ! Most of you prefer to take photos of boats surrounded by the mountain landscape. Day 8 : Champex to Trient village Balcony path over the Rhône valley or Fenetre d'Arpette passage will be the today's program. The gothic church of Trient village with the huge glacier as background is really a good photo. Day 9 : Trient village - Lac Blanc refuge Another panoramic day over mont blanc range. The Lac Blanc picture is famous all over the world. And the sunset too. Day 10 : Lac Blanc to Chamonix All along this day, majestic Mont Blanc is in front of you and the roofs of Chamonix under your feet.The memory card is quite full, it's time to stop walking !!! Transportation: Airport : Geneva Train station : St Gervais - Chamonix les Houches Gathering: Time: Place: Meals: The meals will be countryside local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way and wild cooking. Simple and Healthy. Should you have especial requirements, please let us know beforehand. Accommodation: We will stay in small local dormitories . Friendly and Family atmosphere. Clean and simple. Equipment: (Need to be prepared by each participant) It is much colder in the mountain, keep warm !! - Mountain sunglasses, Lipbalm, sun protection - Sleeping bag -20 degree Celsius - Backpack 60L - Day-backpack 15L (to carry lunch and drinking during the day) - Hiking boots (warm, water/snow-proof) - Hiking jacket and pant - Warm layers (200gram & 400 gram polar fleece. by season: wind breaker, gloves & hat) - Dawn Jacket (winter) - Quick dry T-shirt (winter ) - Snow gaiter (winter ) - Waterproof glove (winter ) - Hiking socks - Fleece hats - Head lamp - Hiking Poles (optional, helpful with wet path and to avoid knee problems) - Eating set - Drinking bottle (no plastic bottles because refill is often with boiled water) - Some snacks (4 simple lunch portion) - Personal medical care.
