Itinerary
Day 1 - Take flight from Shanghai to Chiang Mai on evening. Day 2 - Arrive at Chiang Mai city airport on morning (time is according to the flight schedule). A van will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. - Then enjoy a free morning and lunch time in Chiang Mai. - In the afternoon 3:00 pm, leave to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple, a sacred site to many Thai people which is located 15 km from the city of Chiang Mai on Doi Suthep mountain. From the temple impressive views of Chiang Mai can be seen and it remains a popular destination of foreign visitors. - Come back around 5:30pm in Chiang Mai down town, and spend a free evening to discover Chiang Mai nightlife. - Sleep in hotel in Chiang Mai. Day 3 - All free day in Chiang Mai. If you are in Chiang Mai on weekend, we recommend you to experience the wonderful walking street markets that take place on weekend. - Then pick up from the hotel at 4:30 pm to leave to Baan Thai for a Thai cooking class. You will have the opportunity of choosing between 5 dishes to cook. After cooking, enjoy of course tasting your meals. You will receive your own Thai cook book with easy step by step guidelines on how to cook great thai food. - Then return back to your hotel around 8:30 pm. - Sleep in Hotel in Chiang Mai. Day 4 - 8:45 Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Tree House. - En-route to the tree house you will get the opportunity to visit Mae Ping elephant camp and enjoy a 1 hour elephant ride, which will take you alongside and across the Ping river and into the surrounding forests. - Arrival at the tree house by the end of morning, in the foothills of the Chiang Dao mountain range. Meet the owners and then set-off on a tour of the local village as well as visit the local school. - Return back to the Tree House for lunch on the veranda. - After lunch you have the option of a 1-2 hour jungle trek (with choice of either easy or moderate/difficult routes). - So as to relieve the aches from the trek you can enjoy a traditional herbal sauna followed by dinner which involves a traditional Bamboo Rice BBQ cooked and prepared by your host family. Day 5 - Breakfast and then depart back down the mountain and head to the Chiang Dao Cave where you will enjoy a 45 mins walk through the cave network – you will be guided through the cave, using a gas powered lantern, by a local volunteer who will take you along a route that incorporates three different chambers each with there own unique rock formations and family of bats! - From the caves we will continue on to Doi Angkhang Nature Resort. - Arrival at the resort from the tree house and settle in. Enjoy lunch on the terrace and then receive a guided tour (via car) of the surrounding hill tribe villages as well as a trip to the Burmese border checkpoint. Return back to the Resort with the option of watching the sun go down at the viewpoint 1,700meters above sea level. - Enjoy dinner at the restaurant (not included) and then free time to yourselves. Day 6 - Although it is optional, Orient Xplorer recommends getting up early to watch the sunrise, as it is one of the best places to experience a mountain top sunrise, whilst in Northern Thailand... - A buffet breakfast takes places between 6am - 10.30am and is included in the price of the trip. - After breakfast you can visit the Doi Angkhang Royal Project, an agricultural station where you will get to explore the wonderful gardens that have been developed over a period of 40 years. Highlights being the Bonzai Garden and the formal Rose Gardens. The clubhouse and restaurant is a great place to have lunch as it affords breath taking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. - For the rest of the afternoon you are free to enjoy the nature park at your own leisure, activities on offer include :
Day 7 - After breakfast return back to Chiang Mai - Then enjoy free afternoon and evening in this amazing city... - Sleep in Chiang Mai Day 8 - Enjoy a last free half-day in Chiang Mai. - Pick up from the hotel on afternoon and transfer to Chiang Mai airport (time is according to the flight schedule). - Take flight to Shanghai. Day 9 - Arrive in Shanghai on early morning. Transportation During the trip, we arrange local bus from/back downtown/village to Xishuangbanna city. Gathering Time: anytime at Day one check in and meet at hotel The next day we will start our activity departure from the hotel Meals The meals will be country side local dishes, fresh vegetable and meat cooked in the traditional way. Simple and Healthy. Should you have especial requirements, please let us know beforehand. Accommodation You will be housed in a beautiful Thai style Guesthouse. With its restaurant, its environmentally friendly garden, two swimming pools with jacuzzi and spa facility, you will love spending time in this piece of peaceful place... Also, with only 10 mins walk to Night Bazzar and Riverside, the resort has the perfect location. 日程
第一天 - 傍晚飞机从上海至清迈 第二天 - 早晨到达清迈机场。专车接送至酒店 - 自由的早晨和中午的时间 - 下午3点，前往Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep寺院，一个对于泰国人来说神圣的地方。距离清迈15公里。在这里可以看到清迈全貌，至今为止，这里是最受欢迎的地点。 - 5：30 左右回到清迈中心，自由时间。 - 在清迈的酒店就寝 第三天 - 整天自由，如果在周末到来，建议到市集看看 - 4:30PM，在酒店集合前往Baan Thai烹饪课。结束后尝尝自己的美食。 - 在8:30 左右回到酒店 - 在清迈就寝 第四天 - 8:45 从酒店接送至树屋 - 在半途在象园内体验1个小时的骑象活动，我们会穿越河流，森林… - 在中午到达山脚下的树屋。和主人见过后，我们将参观村子和小学。 - 回到树屋午餐 - 午餐后可以按难度自由选择1-2小时的丛林穿越 - 穿越后，我们可以再桑拿中驱赶我们的疲劳，接着是一个传统的由主人准备的竹筒烧烤 第五天 - 早餐后，我们来到Chiang Dao洞，在这里我们将在灯笼的照耀下，领略45分钟的洞穴穿越。在哪里我们将看到3种不同的岩石构造结构和当然不同的蝙蝠。 - 从洞穴出来，我们将来到 Doi Angkhang 自然保护区 - 来到保护区的树屋住下。在梯田中享受午餐。接着有向导（驱车）带领我们参观周边的山区村寨包括去旁边的缅甸边防站。回到保护区，我们可以在海平面1700米的观察点看着太阳慢慢落下 - 在餐馆晚餐（未包含）接着自由的时间 第六天 - 尽管不是必须，我们建议早起看日出，因为这里是在泰北看日出的最佳地点之一… - 自助早餐在早晨6点到10:30供应，已包含在行程费用中 - 早餐后，我们将参观Doi Angkhang皇家项目，在这里将看到众多栽在0多年前就开始耕耘的美妙花园。亮点在于Bonzai花园和以前的玫瑰园。在会所可以享受午餐，当然美妙之处在于这里无与伦比的山峦环抱及极目飞远的峡谷。 - 余下的下午，可以自由活动，园中提供的活动有：
